The truth is that our first organised portrait shoot left us with nothing but pleasant impressions and experiences. That is why we decided to continue photographing portraits, in the hope that we would improve in this particular genre of photography. Continuing our excellent collaboration with Nasia Nikolaidou, we left Pieria and moved a little farther north. We chose to shoot in one of our favourite places, the Axios Delta.
Fishing huts, boats, and the sea formed the background we agreed on for our photographs, connecting this setting with the beauty of human presence. Inspired by the late Aliki Vougiouklaki in Dinos Dimopoulos’s classic film Madalena, we filled the digital memory cards of our cameras with beautiful portraits.
As beginners in portrait photography, we studied our images, discussed them honestly and constructively, and concluded that, in the end, we do like portraiture. So we set course for more projects like this, building our knowledge and our portfolios one small stone at a time.
