I was not born with a camera in my hands, although I would have liked to be. I always enjoyed looking at photographs in albums and shoeboxes, admiring yesterday. As a child, I came experienced film cameras, but I lacked the wisdom of a mentor who might have helped that interest become a passion.
Sometime in the mid-2000s, I began to discover the art of photography. The transition from film to the digital age may have played a part in this, since my studies and my work belong to the world of information technology, allowing me to bring these two worlds together.
I enjoy all kinds of photography, and I love the stories hidden within images. And if the images themselves have no story, then with their help I invent, through my own imagination, untold fairy tales.
For me, photography is a visual adventure that turns me into an explorer. My aim is to discover a different way of seeing the world and the ordinary, so that I may “imprison” time and light forever, both on paper and in digital zeros and ones.
